Hello!
I owe you an apology for neglecting the blog. Things have been so darn busy lately! Just so everyone knows, we made it through the ice storm without too many issues. Lee had a little trouble getting to work, and my office opened at noon. Lee busted face once, and I skated through the office parking lot to avoid it, but we'll both be fine. The ice storm has claimed lives and cause electricity to go out elsewhere, so everyone be careful!!
Ringing in the New Year
We went to a party in Fort Worth with my cousin, Billy. Lee and I were still a little under the weather but we pushed through!! For some reason I only took 3 pictures, 2 of which were horrible, so you're going to have to deal with the one good picture I have.
January so far...
Lee has been working very hard and trying to figure out where he wants to be at Enterprise. I have also been working pretty hard and just got back from trips to Chattanooga, TN and Chicago, IL. I head out to Charlotte, NC tomorrow and will be back in town Friday night.
In other news, Lee had the flu two weeks ago--confirmed diagnosis and all. It was actually the second confirmed case in Southlake, TX!! Fortunately I was put on preventive medication (who knew they could do that?!) and did not catch it (and wow am I happy that I didn't). He was out of commission for a good 5 days, poor thing! Tricia came to town right after he started to feel better and we had an absolute blast out in Dallas! We went to lots of places, but ended up singing the night away at Lotus and having delicious pizza at a ridiculous hour.
Lee and I made a trip down to Austin this past weekend to see my family and celebrate Neese's birthday. It was a fun trip and I was glad to get to spend time with family. My parents are thinking about coming up to DFW this weekend which should be an absolute blast! Other than that, just working, getting things done around the house, and enjoying everyday life!
OH, and I'm not taking down my Christmas decor until my parents come up. I want my parents to see our Christmas trees since we put so much work into them. I know, I know call me a crazy lady!! Lee has already gotten the boxes out and everything; a sign that he is ready for it to be gone. I'm not a huge Valentine's Day decorator and I just LOVE Christmas!! Last, but definitely not least, Lee and I are looking forward to celebrating our first wedding anniversary. Neither of us can believe we have almost been married for a year and are so excited to see what the future brings!!
Until next time (which will hopefully be soon)......I leave you with photos!
